Anything that stops working as it should in the first 5 years, including a battery that holds less than 80% of its charge. We repair it or send a replacement, free, and pay the postage both ways. Accidents aren’t covered, but we’ll repair those at cost.

Within five working days of your return reaching us, to the card or account you paid with. Pre-orders aren’t charged until they ship, so cancelling one costs nothing; a Founders deposit comes back in full within five working days.

Rondo keeps your loops on the device. In Rondo Web, press Share loop and send the link: the whole loop is written into the link itself, so anyone can play it, no account needed, and it will still work in 2037. You can also download four bars as a WAV file.

Yes. Rondo is a class-compliant USB audio and MIDI device, so it works with music software on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPad and Android without drivers. It sends and receives MIDI clock, so it can lead or follow.

Two 3.5 mm TRS MIDI sockets, in and out (Type A), plus USB MIDI and Bluetooth MIDI. For gear with 5-pin DIN sockets, a standard TRS-to-DIN adapter does the job. Our MIDI pair of cables is $19.

No, no and no. Rondo works on its own, out of the box. Updates are a plain file you install over USB-C, whenever you like. There’s no cloud, which is also why this page has so little to report.

Undo the four T5 screws on the base, lift it off, unclip the 2,400 mAh battery and clip in the new one. It takes about five minutes, and the repair guide has a photo of every step. Batteries are sold at cost, and free under warranty.

It keeps working, because it never depended on us. The firmware is open source under the MIT licence, and its source and signing keys are held in escrow, to be released to everyone if we stop trading. How we keep that promise.
